These days not only the qualifications, education, experience and research are enough. Pleasant personality is also the demand of every organization. They notice how the job candidate has dressed in. what is its choice of dressing and style. All these things directly affect the impressions in interview.
So one should be careful regarding dressing when going for an interview. Dress up according to the environment of an office.
Selection of outfit colors
To increase the chances of job selection in an interview, first analyze the kind of job like if it’s a very serious profession for example legal jobs, medical profession and science or research fields then dress up decently. Pick the subtle colors like, navy blue, black or dark gray.
Do not wear full gray colored attire but add a different colored blouse or shirt of suitable color so that you don’t look tired or dull. Also avoid wearing green gray and steel gray colored clothes.
But if the job is related to media fields like makeup artist, graphic designer or fashion then go for the bright colored clothes like bright blue, hot pink, purple or yellow. A jet black dress with combination of bright colors gives an interviewer an impression of quick minded personality. So make a balance of colors in your dressing and be confident!
Male and Female Interviewer’s choice of colors
The male and females behave differently for different colors. Usually the female interviewers like green, pink, purple, aqua, rose and turquoise colors whereas men favor various shades of blue, bright red and burgundy.
Makeup for Job Interview
The makeup should also be decided on the basis of job type that is if it is the creative job then you can go for little brighter makeup but do not make it over. One can use lipstick, blush, eye shadows and so but all in a balanced quantity. Because sometimes this happens that interviewer doesn’t like high makeup and makes a bad impression in mind. Never ever use a glittering makeup when going for an interview.
Just go for the makeup that is in same general color family. Don’t try to match the eye shadows and lipsticks with your shoes, handbags or so if they are out of the custom colors.
Eye shadow colors like green, bright purple or blue doesn’t give a nice impression on an interviewer so avoid such colors. When going for an interview of serious job, then pick the shell pink color for eye shadows and rose colored lipstick. Don’t make the makeup thick but just lightly blended one and always look into mirror just before the interview.
